I bought this in Storm to compliment some other tops that I have (in the same color). I like the idea of an insulated ski pant that is perfect for resort and slackcountry. I really like the fit--they are just roomy enough but not baggy. They are warm--very warm. I like the added reinforced patches in the areas that one would expect wear and tear from skis and ski boots. That is a very nice touch that will extend the life of these pants. I like that it has three pockets. These work great with suspenders or a belt. The length is perfect. So why 4* instead of 5*? Unless it is really cold, or you are a "cold" person, you will find these to be very warm. Having a couple zipper vents on the mid-leg would go a long way to make these more versatile in terms of temperature range and if one starts to do hiking or to earn turns. I was surprised that these did not have any venting options--there are lesser expensive ski pants that two have nice vents on the inner thigh area that dump excess heat and help release any moisture. Overall though a very nice pant. I like the color options to match with other Eddie Bauer items.
